I started going to Camp Laughing Water, a Girl Scout camp in Rockland County, NY, in ,and went every summer thereafter, including a year or two as a counselor, until Summer camp is the highlight of the year for many Scouts. In the Great Smoky Mountain Council, we hold our summer camp at Camp Buck Toms on the shores of a private cove on Watts Bar Lake. Scouts spend six nights camping out with their Troops.
